Digital Anarchy PowerSearch 3.0 for Premiere Pro

Digital anarchy announced PowerSearch 3.0 for Adobe Premiere Pro. PowerSearch 3.0 is Digital Anarchy’s powerful search engine that integrates with Premiere Pro and allows editors to quickly browse an entire project or Premiere Production for dialogue and instantly locate clips and footage specific based on those keyword searches.

PowerSearch takes advantage of transcripts generated by Transcriptive AI or Adobe’s new transcription service to search for dialogues and phrases. To make searching for Premiere projects even easier, PowerSearch now offers the ability to use common search engine commands, such as minus signs and quotes, for a more precise and precise search.

For editors with hundreds of hours of video, PowerSearch 3.0 walks through the entire Premiere project and makes it easier for editors to find what they’re looking for by showing only relevant search results.
Additionally, with this new release, PowerSearch 3.0 brings significant workflow improvements that improve multi-project management, indexing, and support for Premiere Productions.

PowerSearch will index an entire Premiere Pro project, just like Google indexes websites, in order to optimize search performance. An index of hundreds of videos that took between 10 and 12 hours to create is now indexed in less than an hour with PowerSearch. PowerSearch displays results like any search engine. When editors click on search results, they are taken to the exact time in the clip or media file where the text was spoken. PowerSearch will sift through clip markers, sequence markers, metadata and voice transcriptions, and even subtitles / SRT files to quickly and easily generate accurate results.

New Features in PowerSearch 3.0

  • Ability to index SRTs: users can now search all captions simultaneously, compared to other options such as Adobe Text Panel which only allows users to search for one SRT at a time;
  • Adobe Sensei Transcription Support: By importing SRTs into Premiere or Transcriptive Rough Cutter, Adobe Sensei transcriptions can be searched.
  • Search improvements: ability to search with quotes for more precise results;
  • Premiere Productions support: index individual projects in Premiere Productions and easily switch between them;
  • Change of project: new buttons on both screens are now available to load the index of an active project;
  • Increased indexing and search speed;
  • Instant Load: Users can now load the database without needing to reindex. This eliminates the need to reindex the same project with a different name.
