Work by sculptor Andy Edwards whose other works include the Beatles statue on the Liverpool waterfront

The Positive Vibration Festival is delighted to announce that it has commissioned a 7 foot tall statue of cultural icon, Bob Marley. The work of art is to be created by sculptor Andy Edwards, well known in Liverpool for his brilliant statue of the Beatles on the Liverpool waterfront.
After an eventful and difficult year for everyone, the division ended up defining many public speeches. It is for this reason that Positive Vibration Festival came up with the idea for a statue of Bob Marley. The universality of Bob Marley’s message of love, unity and hope is much needed, and the festival wanted to pay homage to that message and hopefully inspire people.

After seeing the impact Andy Edwards’ Beatles and Mohammed Ali statues had had, the festival approached Andy through Castle Fine Arts Foundry and worked collaboratively to make the idea a reality. .

The Bob Marley Statue will undoubtedly become one of Liverpool’s most iconic public works of art and will reflect the success of other city works of art such as the Beatles Statue, the Superlambanana and the Liver Wings .
