SPIDER-MAN #1 preview brings back a familiar villain as the end of the Spider-Verse finally begins
Marvel Comics has released a first look at Spiderman #1and with Morlun and Shathra aiming for the web-slinger, he’s about to face his deadliest challenge yet as the end of the Spider-Verse awaits.
With the “End” of the Spider-Verse Upon Us, Marvel Comics Teases an Ongoing News Spider Man series by Dan Slott (amazing spider man) and Mark Bagley (Ultimate Spider-Man) that promises to unlock the full potential of the Spider-Verse and its beloved heroes.
The new saga begins on October 5 when a threat emerges that will change the fate of Peter Parker and all of his other Spider icons such as Spider-Woman, Ghost-Spider, Miles Morales, Silk, and more, including new heroes who made their debut in Edge of Spider-Verse.
This series will also directly tie into the events of Zeb Wells and John Romita Jr. amazing spider man running around, picking up plot elements such as Spidey’s new costume and his mysterious association with Norman Osborn.
Morlun is back and he’s not alone. Allied with one of the most powerful beings known to the Spider-Verse, Shathra, the scariest Spider-Villain of all time plays his biggest game and no Spider is safe. Especially not the chosen spider himself, Peter Parker. Based on recent events, however, fans will have to wonder, is he coming?
In this Spiderman #1 preview shared by ComicBook.com, we see Spidey taking down crooks, unaware that he’s being watched by Shathra. She’s in Loomworld and turned poor Anna-May “Annie” Parker into her servant, Nestling. Spiderling was kidnapped in Edge of Spider-Verse #2 and was first introduced to the pages of Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows.
Madame Web, Anya Corazon, and the new Spider-UK, meanwhile, hide out at the Spider-Sanctuary and seek to plan a counterattack against this deadly new enemy.
Despite some controversial creative decisions over the years, Slott has become a fan favorite Spider-Man writer among fans and his return to the wall robot corner of the Marvel Universe has been celebrated. We’re really intrigued to see how this story unfolds, and you can check out that first look below!
